We are Crewhouse. Built on Experience. Driven by People.

ABOUT US

Crewhouse Media is a Cyprus-based film and video production company, founded in 2006 by a group of media professionals who, before joining forces on the island, had worked internationally for many years. With decades of experience, we handle every stage of a production, from concept and filming through to post-production and delivery. We are extremely proud of the fact that, throughout the years we have never missed a deadline.

Our greatest asset is our people. We bring together skilled producers, directors, camera operators, editors, translators, journalists, sound recordists, lighting technicians, fixers, designers, animators, photographers, and broadcast specialists, and we build the right team for every brief. Backed by state-of-the-art equipment and our own in-house facilities, our crew goes the extra mile to turn complex production needs into seamless results. Documentary and news production lies at the heart of what we do. We manage research, development, filming, and post-production in-house, covering social, cultural, historical, environmental, and human-interest subjects. This includes sensitive yet pertinent bi-communal stories that call for trust, impartiality, and genuine access to both communities of Cyprus. We are also the local partner that international productions rely on when filming in Cyprus.

Drawing upon a deep local knowledge and access across the whole island, we provide crews, location scouting, permits, equipment hire, transport, field producing, and full logistical support. Over the years, we have assisted programmes such as Top Gear, Johnny Harris's Cyprus, Uncharted, Real Stories, The Wall, Jewels of the Mediterranean, William Shatner's The UnXplained, and Big Zuu's 12 Dishes. Our client portfolio includes the BBC and ITN in the UK, NOS and RTL4 in the Netherlands, DW, ARD, in Germany, ARTE, Associated Press, and Al Jazeera. We have worked with NGOs such as United World Colleges, ICMPD, Walk of Truth, the Thomson Foundation, and Greenpeace, and we hold a strong track record with United Nations organisations, including long-term agreements with UNDP and UNFICYP and films for UNHCR and OSCE. Our own short fiction films and music videos have won awards locally and abroad, reaching millions of viewers through festivals and broadcast channels. We also produce our own documentaries and short fiction films, and we are always open to coproduction opportunities. Whatever the brief, we can offer partial or full production support.

Our Nicosia office and studio is a comfortable, fully equipped space for any project, from a single interview to a complete series. Whether you are a broadcaster on a tight deadline or an organisation telling its story, we make the process simple, reliable, and stress-free. At Crewhouse Media, we do more than capture footage. We build stories, solve production challenges, and deliver powerful visual content that connects with audiences across the world.

TESTIMONIALS

  • The BBC are very pleased indeed with how the film has turned out - in large part, I’m sure, because of the quality of the Cyprus filming. In particular, it was such a joy for me to have so many sequences at the sanctuary available to use in the edit. Thank you so much for all your help with it. I very much hope that we have the chance to work together at some point before too long.

  • Often the job I do is challenging, more often than that it is frustrating, and rarely is it inspirational. This time it was truly enriching… and to my colleague David Hands whose role has been pivotal.

  • We really appreciated you team’s effort to get what we needed, their conscientious approach to get quality footage, and your flexibility to structure a project solution for us. I am disappointed I missed the opportunity to come over and shoot there. We hope this will be the first of many projects.

  • I just wanted to share some positive feedback I got from people regarding the CCHA video. I have posted it on facebook and sent it to some people via e-mail. It was spread quicker than I expected, and I got so many congratulatory e-mails. I should mention a special praise for the video-makers: I got an e-mail from a documentary director, Ersan Ocak, who is currently teaching at Bilkent University in Ankara, congratulating us on the success of the video! I thank again Shane, Ivan and others who contributed.
